Viridian City Entrance

Although I was originally going to do all of this the old fashioned way... by clicking at speeds that would make an mlg gamer proud.... I ran into a bit of a snag when I started work on Viridian city.... it turns out that if you walk straight out of Pallet Town through the forest... you eventually run into a dessert. Now this works GREAT for what was west of Viridian city... but for Viridian city itself?? not so good. So after about an hour or so of trying to destroy a desert with a teaspoon I eventually gave in and tried MC world Editor. Not half as bad as I expected... was it great? not so much. The controls I find would've benefited more with keeping with the creative mode controls (WASD move, space up, shift down) and I found replacing sand with dirt some times it worked, other times it didn't and I never really did figure out why.... BUT! It did make this job a WHOLE lot easier.

As for this entrance? well if you look at the map for Viridian city you'll notice at the very bottom of the screen is a green and brown entrance looking arch... I really had no idea what it was supposed to look like and this was kind of my best guess. I started out first using fence posts and green wool but found it looked too hollow and cheap. Even if this isn't what they had in mind designing it. I have to admit I kind of like how this archway turned out!
